What Is the Poople Answers Archive

The Poople Answers Archive is a searchable record of every past daily puzzle. Each entry shows the start word, the par (the minimum number of moves it takes), and the full verified solution, which is the shortest path from that word to POOP found by an exhaustive graph search across all valid 4-letter words.

Today's active puzzle is never shown here. Answers are published the day after a puzzle closes, so you can always play without being spoiled. Once a puzzle is archived, you can reveal it step by step using progressive hints, read the meanings of any bridge words along the path, or enter your own current word into the in-page solver to find the shortest route to POOP from there.

Poople Answers FAQ

Where can I find today's Poople answer?

Today’s puzzle is never shown here to avoid spoilers. Play today’s puzzle first, then check back once it closes at 08:00 UTC. Answers are published within minutes of each rollover, so the newest one is always at the top of this archive, in the Latest Poople Answer panel above.

How are these Poople answers calculated?

Each solution is found by a shortest-path search across every valid 4-letter English word. The algorithm checks all possible one-letter changes from the start word and works outward until it reaches POOP, which guarantees the fewest possible steps.

Why is my solution different from the one shown?

More than one route can reach POOP in the exact same number of moves. The archive shows one verified shortest path, but any route that reaches POOP in par is equally valid. If your route used more steps than par, the archive can show you where a shorter detour was possible.

Does the archive cover every past puzzle?

The Poople Answers Archive grows by one entry each day as the previous day’s answer is published. It will eventually cover every puzzle since Poople launched.

Can I get new Poople answers automatically?

Yes. Poople has an RSS feed you can follow in any reader. It adds an item for each new daily answer once it is published, plus a daily item when the next puzzle goes live, so you can keep up without checking the site.

What does par mean in Poople?

Par is the fewest moves it takes to reach POOP starting from that day’s word. It is the same for everyone on a given day. Finishing in par is the best possible result, and any extra steps are counted against your score.

What do the difficulty levels mean?

Each puzzle is rated by its par, the fewest moves needed to reach POOP. Easy is 5 moves or fewer, Medium is 6 to 7 moves, and Hard is 8 or more.

Can I still play past puzzles?

The daily game only offers today’s puzzle. Past puzzles are shown in the archive for review, but they are not playable in the scored daily format. You can try similar ladders anytime in Poople Unlimited.

Is there a Poople solver?

Yes. Every archived answer page includes a mini solver: enter your current 4-letter word and it finds the shortest path from there to POOP. For a solver that works between any two valid 4-letter words, not just today’s start word, head to the Word Ladder Solver instead.

How do the Poople hints work?

Each archived puzzle reveals three hints one at a time before the full solution: the par, which is the minimum number of moves, a positional tip about which letter to change first, and the actual first word in the path. Reveal as many or as few as you want before seeing the complete route.

How do I look up a specific day's Poople answer?

Use the search box above to type a start word directly, or filter by difficulty level or starting letter. Puzzles are grouped by month with the newest first, so scrolling from the top also works if you only know roughly when a puzzle ran.
